1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

Because the controller is established in Spain, this site is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection and Digital Rights, and Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce.

2. What We Collect

ConvertImageDPI.com is a client-side web application. All image processing happens directly in your browser using JavaScript. We do not have a server that receives, stores, or processes your image files.

If — and only if — you accept cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects:

• Pages visited and time on page
• Browser type, device type and operating system
• Approximate location, derived from your IP address and generalised to city level or coarser
• Referral source (how you found us)
• A randomly generated identifier, stored in a cookie, used to recognise a returning browser

If you reject cookies, no identifier is stored and no analytics cookie is written.

3. About Your IP Address

We want to be precise here, because this point is widely misstated. Your IP address is necessarily transmitted to Google's servers whenever your browser makes a request to them — that is simply how the internet works, and no setting can prevent it. What Google Analytics 4 does is decline to keep it: the address is used momentarily to derive a coarse geographic location and is then discarded rather than logged or stored. In GA4 this behaviour is on by default and cannot be switched off.

So, stated exactly: we never see your IP address, and Google does not store it, but Google does receive it. The same is true of Google Fonts when your browser fetches the site's typeface, and of Cloudflare's CDN if you convert several files at once.

5. What We Do NOT Collect

• Your image files — they are never uploaded to any server, ours or anyone else's
• Your name or email address, unless you choose to write to us
• Any advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking data
• Any cookie whatsoever, if you reject the banner

6. Google Analytics and International Transfers

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the tool is used. Google acts as our data processor and handles this data in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

This can involve transferring data outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States. Google relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as its transfer mechanism.

You can withdraw consent at any time from our Cookie Policy page, or block Analytics on every site by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Cookies

Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them. We use no advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party marketing cookies. The full list, with names and lifetimes, is in the Cookie Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

Our tool loads the following resources from third-party CDNs:

• Google Fonts (from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com)
• JSZip (from cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — loaded only when you convert several files at once, so that we can build the ZIP archive. It is not requested for single-file conversions.

These services may collect request logs (IP addresses, browser information) as part of serving the files. Please review their respective privacy policies.

9. Data Retention

We hold nothing ourselves. Analytics data sits with Google and is retained for 14 months, which is Google's default. Your cookie preference stays in your own browser until you clear it. If you email us, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

10. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (Article 15)
• Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete (Article 16)
• Erasure, sometimes called the right to be forgotten (Article 17)
• Restrict processing in certain circumstances (Article 18)
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format (Article 20)
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21)
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out (Article 7.3)

In practice we hold very little: we have no account system, no server-side logs of your activity and no copy of your files. For most requests, the honest answer will be that there is nothing on file. Withdrawing analytics consent is immediate and needs no email — use the button on the Cookie Policy page.

11. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe your data protection rights have been breached, you may complain to the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you may instead complain to your own national authority.
