Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using ConvertImageDPI.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ConvertImageDPI.com provides a free, browser-based tool for modifying the DPI metadata of image files (JPG and PNG). The Service processes all files locally in your browser — no files are uploaded to our servers.
3. Free to Use
The Service is provided free of charge, with no registration required. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, but the core DPI conversion tool will remain free.
4. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all images you process using the Service. Because processing happens entirely in your browser, we never receive, store, or access your image files.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any images you use with the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Service in ways that degrade performance for other users
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that converted files will meet the requirements of any specific print service or platform.
Always verify your converted files with your intended print service before final submission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConvertImageDPI.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, file corruption, or rejected print submissions.
8. Intellectual Property
The ConvertImageDPI.com name, logo, written guides and page designs remain the property of the site operator and are protected by copyright in the ordinary way.
The JavaScript that powers the converter is a different matter, and we would rather be straightforward about it. It is delivered to your browser in readable form, because that is the only way a browser can run it. You can read it, inspect it and step through it in your developer tools — and we encourage exactly that, since being able to confirm for yourself that nothing is uploaded is the entire point of the tool.
Reading and inspecting the code is therefore expressly permitted. What we ask is that you do not republish it, or substantial parts of it, as your own work or as a competing service. If you would like to reuse a portion of it, ask us — the answer will usually be yes.
Nothing in this clause limits any right you have under applicable law, including the rights of lawful users of a program under Article 100 of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act and Articles 5 and 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC.
9. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service occasionally. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
